One of the things that I can offer you are individual painting classes, that take place either in Prague or in Pilsen. There are two possibilities: either regular “tutoring” 1 hour / week, once every 14 days (price 500 CZK / hour), or an intensive tailor-made course, which is about 4 hours long (price 1900 CZK). If you are interested, do not hesitate to contact me via e-mail.
The first question that I am going to ask you, when we are arranging our meeting, is why you paint. Some people paint for example because they need to relax, some are trying to impress their co-workers, some are trying to express their inner self and others are trying to get enrolled in an art school and they consider painting their potential profession. Personally, I do not think any reason to paint is superior to another. It can just be of great help to clarify your goals before we start working together. We will manage to improve your skills in any case.
The second step is to arrange a meeting. The most convenient option is for me to come to the place where you usually paint (your home, studio…) where I can also see your original works. Nevertheless, it is not a necessary condition and it is always possible to find an alternative meeting spot.
The course is designed individually, which also means that its content will be based on what you want to learn. For example, if you wish to improve in a particular technique – oil painting, acrylic, watercolor, pastel, or learn to stretch canvases properly, then we can dedicate our mutual time to a certain topic only. However, what usually happens is that I first have a look at older works if there are any available. I consider them the best source through which to determine what skills you need to improve and how. I can assure you, that you don’t have to be afraid of sharing your paintings with me, as I have already seen just about everything シ
My goal is to elevate your technical skills, as well as bring a new perspective to your work. Give thought to how you imagine your paintings would look one day. It helps if you have a favourite author or authors whose style you enjoy. I can show you exercises that will help you improve in your weaker areas (for example in perspective, the use of color etc.) and reach the desired level of skill eventually. Together we will also have a look at your painting equipment and the general environment in which you paint, which are two often underestimated premises of a masterpiece.
